For the past five years, i have been dealing with the SFO Indian consulate and they have been extremly efficient in processing my papers, when i have sent them over , be it for Visa or Passport.
Yes their customer service is not up to the standards but they have always responded positively within two weeks

thanks for your supportive words for CP filers now CP filers need some relief as they are not able to get an EAD/AC21. I think we could ask to allow CP filers to file 485 with out having dates current and conserdering their CP filing date to get EAD and AC21.

Well thought I had to answer this better. The answer is YES, we can get bills introduced and passed if we had 2 million dollars. Lets not make assumptions about what congress cares for, we'll let core members handle that. As written previously, we have managed to get quite a lot of change done with minuscule funding, even though we haven't been able to afford the best people.
Maybe right now even achieved a bit more than the illegal immigration lobby.
How exactly do we do it? - Check Donor forum, where we get constant updates on our efforts in Washington DC.
Donations start at a one time of $25, even if that's the only thing you do all year.
There are some thinking why not get everything for free, when IV is already working? Its a tendency of many to save as much as possible, and get the thrill of getting something free. As I speak, Donors are benefiting from IVs efforts. United we can achieve a lot, Divided we fail.
The other common excuse is - "I really don't care, even if I don't get the GC, I can always find a job back home. Pay $1000 for my return flight. Just visiting... "
Well I guess the other option of spending much less, getting a GC in 1-2 years, starting your own business in the USA, making much more money is really something no one wants.
Agree with you Tony - there are so many members of this forum - I find it hard to believe that everyone's budget is so tight, that they cannot afford to divert $25 per-month to a cause that is going to help them directly.
I am not underestimating the value of $300 per-year, but compared to the value that this is likely to drive, it is certainly an investment that can provide handsome returns.
I would rather NOT believe that most people here are with a free-loader mentality - waiting for others to fund and drive the momentum, while they just keep yapping about their problems and concerns about the situation, laws, regulations, illegals, employers etc. etc.
In my opinion people are missing the big picture of that if everyone contributed, there could be significant momentum that could be created - a $25 per-month contribution could lead to a $500K monthly lobbying fund - which is a non-trivial amount to drive our agenda.

As a precursor to abolishing labor substitution next year, USCIS is increasing its scrutiny of substituted labor. Also there is rampant fraud in labor substituions.
I was reading somewhere that USCIS rejection rate of labor sub is 85% higher than in orginal labor. That is a significant percentage, if you ask me. Make your own decision but be very wary of promises.

Looks like for the ROW the EB3 moved by a year. In march it was for August 2002 and in April it is for August 2003. That good for some folks who are rest of world....like me. Still 2 years away for me......

Changing to vertical spillover will NOT help EB3 India or China. EB3 ROW is not current and it will suck up all overflow leaving EB2I, EB2C, EB3I and EB3C to their annual quota only. USCIS changing the process to horizontal spillover is the best thing that has happened to I and C community in the absence of immigration reform. Now there is at least some hope for EB3 folks to get a new job and apply in EB2, as at least that queue is faster. If we fight among ourselves and stop vertical spillover, it will only benefit EB3ROW as they will get all overflow from EB1 and EB2ROW. Please guys, let's not fight.

It will make a difference of 6-7 months and its a real big deal to keep coming back and asking "Pappu did you ask about Quarterly Spillover? " on each bloody occasion. Thats interesting to know that we even pay higher life insurances due to not having a greencard. can someone else second this from their experience. I am not aware of these hardships so if we have to say this in any media interview, we need correct information substantiated by facts.

I am willing to share more funds for people who so far are not planning to attend, and to advertise and promote the rally as much as possible. Please contact the Ombudsman's office. Fill out the form 7001 and explain the issue in detail and attach copies of your MTR submissions, notices etc....
Contact your Senators - go to their websites and look for constituent services and follow what is there on their website.
Contact your Congresman - usually congressman's office will give more personal attention. I recommend that you personally go to COngressman's office and talk to the immigration expert there. They will help.
Also, please feel free to contact IV with the issue. You can sed me an email and I will forward it to IV core to see what can be done.

A big weight off my shoulders. Much more freedom in getting new jobs. Easier to travel. Planning to buy a house finally!!!

Went out with friends and just enjoyed the feeling of freedom

The feeling of uncertanity was terrible. Had to put lots of stuff on hold, like buying a house.
