I have it just says Texas Center....efile for AP seems to have many Texas offices in the drop down..which one to I choose..
Whcen I call USCIS 1800 number, they say that my case is pending in Mesquite, TX....and that does not show up in the Efile Drop Down.

checked with AAA.......they give only 4 free photos, you pay $10 for each additional set of 2 photographs.......who said they give all free photos for members?

But how do one become out of status?
One way is, if he/she didn't apply for extension, thats the only way. Otherthan that pay stubs, job, bench, these will not make anybody out of status. These are all trash.
As long as the employer/employee relationship exists, nobody can't do anything. This is for sure.
Let me correct it.. I read somewhere that it is considered not a major problem if some one is out of status for less than 180 days cumulatively.

The first thing to do in call your attorney and ask him to be with you when any uscis or ice guy shows up. Right to an attorney is a basic right. Do not think that u will offend ice officer if u have u'r attorney present. Do not think that u'r charming personality will put u in the good books of ice. If I were u, I would not do anything, without consulting my attorney in such a matter.
Also, keep bank stmts and all recent paystubs handy, along with past exp. Letters and degree/certificates. Copiew of h1 + gc petition/approval would be good to have.

as per the info u provided u'r...... mail dt is 8/17/07 & receipt dt is 9/26/07...... did u'r application reach cis after july visa bulletin..... if yes, then it appears that with u'r april-06 dt. the priority dt was not current when they received u'r app .... is that a possibility.....
even if thats the case they cant go back after more than 2 years ...they simply cant decide after two years if something wasnt filed in time - even by uscis' horrible standards that'd be a new low

FedEx: $47.92 (overnight - 2 times )

Asking my father to get Birth Certificate - 2 days off for him and had to travel 100 miles

My HR already mad at me. Because
(1) First EVL - for AC21 job change
(2) Second EVL - to answer NOID
(3) Third EVL - for travel on AP
All the above in 3 months gap each after joining. Now if I ask for one more saying I need it for driver's license - she may ask if I also need an EVL to go to six flags or ride the NYC Subway

I dont know..in IL they give 4 yrs for a DL regardless of your EAD/H1 or whatever expiration is..and they dont ask for EVL...

i agree.There are 2 reasons.
1. Last year EB2(I) received only 7K primary EB2(14kTotal/2).My guess is that there are definitly more than 7K pending for EB2(I) before 2005.
2. This year there won't be much FB spillover.So we may not even get 7K for EB2(I) this year.

If you can get employer verification letter stating that the position is still available for you and your salary, then file I485 yourself.

I guess most of the folks here are busy preparing to apply for 485. I have different problem here.
My employer's attorney is charging me outrageous fees of around $5000 to
apply for 485, AP and EAD for me and my spouse. This excludes USCIS fees. I work on hourly basis, so I should be taking care of immigration fees. My employer is not allowing me to file through another law firm.
Do I have any other options. How much do they charge usually.

I don't know why do we (EB community) support it?
1. There is no economic sense for DREAM act. You are going to make illegal people legal - without any much restrictions. How about kids of people who are waiting for their GCs (kids born in native country)? Don't you see any unfair treatment handed out to kids of legal immigrants.
2. Why not give them legal status until age of 18 or 21, then they must prove their worth to economy by going to F1 visa , h1 visa & using available path to immigration?
3. It is about re-uniting families - There are people struggling in legal immigration queue who want to unite with their families - parents - there is no provision in law or effort of making it possible.
This is all politics & I will never support it.
