When you go for Fedex/USPS Express they takes your Name, Current Address in a page which has Pointer to the TRACKING NO. 1 copy comes to you , 1 copy goes out with Package and 1 Copy gets saved with FEDEX/USPS.
The 3rd copy above is sufficient to straightout any "Potential Liars" :mad:
If a lawyer is mailing the application and he probably is mailing hundreds of applications, he won't give the applicant's address in the USPS senders address. So there is no way to match a receipt to an applicant. Besides USCIS won't know what the contents of the package are.

Any means of sending this would be helpful. Lets make it as easy as possible for people. For now - lets see if we can get over a 1000 people to do this.
Ideally in addition to posting your letter on www.WhiteHouse.gov/Contact, it would help if you send a letter to your Senators office as well.
Instead of sending emails, wouldn't it be better to send USPS mail or faxes?

About 2 weeks back Murthy posted an article in it's bulletin "new AC-21 regulations expected soon" http://www.murthy.com/mb_pdf/050208_P.html which i believe was a result of some discussions USCIS had with AILA?
Now is this new AC-21 memo released today the one being referred to in the above mentioned Murthy bulletin? OR i should still hold my breath for more AC-21 changes coming from USCIS, so they can jeopardize status of people by changing their interpretation of laws every now and then? Anyone?

Hello All,
I suggested this in my last two posts and I am suggesting this again. Emails , faxes to Rep will not create visibility of the problem. What we need to do is, do something big, like a DC rally again. One of the benefits behind doing this will be, everyone in this country i has their eyes on DC for presidential elections. Hence more visibility for us.
Secondly the topic of these three bills is hot, if we don't do anything now, it will turn cold, and then will be forgotten.
What we really need is a huge volume of high skilled workers in DC, not just a handful. Please let us all get together in DC again and push for these bills. We will get a lot of visibility. How about sending flowers to congress members?
Please let us all act on it!!

It is not true that Many people have to wait 10+ years to get gc. May be some people might wait for 10 years because of frequent change of jobs , layoffs and also ignorance of green card processing. Most of the time EB2 waiting time is 2 to 3 years. Indian EB3 is in worst situation but only for past 2 years and before that everything was current. For that also most waiting persons filed I 485 because of July VB issue. In my opinion EB3 PD will be backdated up to 5 years.
Also there is no legistrative activity in Congress about any immigration issue. Always skil bill comes in limelight when congress is in Session. But everyone knows that skil bill is asking too much in H1b and immigration numbers because of exemptions and it will be very difficult task. But no one in pro immigrant community is ready to compromise on numbers. When Congress tries to curb the abuse of H1b even pro immigrants are opposing the bills without any suggestion of any alternatives. If some bill comes for only GC that too moderate increase in numbers that will have bright chance of passing in congress.
You should not expect any rally will produce meaningful reform. It has to be proved that additional immigrant and H1b numbers will produce more jobs and it should not create unemployment in americans.Just sufferings of gc waiters is not enough. My opinion is Rally will be used to show strength of IV and may educate public and Congress. But anti immigrants also doing Similar Campaign(not big rallies) by negative points of immigration. The same congress till the end of 2008 and I doubt they will consider any immigration issue till new congress comes in 2009 that is not too far from now. But it is always good to try all the time.
Before any reform comes most IV members may get GC.

Many people has switched the job because of many factors they have faced during their employment and are forced to start all over again to get the GC, It is not ignorance on their part, it is manly because of the broken GC process.
Whether we can able to make the Congress and Senate work on CIR during this fall or on 2009 is irrelevant.
But we can make huge impact on their mind that they have to address this issue, they can not simply ignore us
Just think about that if our fore fathers (freedom fighters of any country) thought about immediate results then they wouldn�t fight for it and get the independence.
In an old say that a person who plant a tree will not get the fruit of it and but he/she did it for the future generations.

Highly suspicious. I would call ICE and confirm. Also, I would ask this "officer" to visit at the workplace in presence of your lawyer. No one has any business visiting your residence for enforcement of a work-related visa. Be careful; consult with your attorney before entertaining any such request.
I second that. Why a visit at home? Workplace is the obvious place (actually calling YOU in the normal interview method). Call back and confirm... this could be a prank from some soon to be "ex" friend.

Do you happen to know who used your labor certification? If you have a copy of the LC and I-140, inform the DOL /USCIS that someone has used your LC and I-140 without your knowledge. I'd like to believe that USCIS will take note of this and will deny the application of the person who used your LC and I-140. Your employer will be in deep trouble because of what he has done. USCIS may investigate the case. It will be wise not to mention that you paid anything. The fact that you were hired under H1 status and is still working with him shows that the LC and the I-140 rightly belongs to you.

I guess the term "YMMV" (your mileage may vary) holds good for this thread...some have had good experiences and some have had really bad ones with Indian and foreign consulates.
But, it is dis-heartening to know the plight of some of the members who had to run from pillar-to-post to get their Indian passport renewed (as the Indian Embassy/Consulates are supposed to help their citizens - not make the citizens' lives miserable).

Received only one year EAD .I will have to call USCIS for incorrect validity date of issued EAD.

I got the same email/soft lud today. My application starts WAC as well, got transferred to NSC.
