Do this - Hire a homeless person, give him a VOIP phone with unlimited calling minutes, and ask him to call USCIS every second of his life asking for your recipt. Some day you will get the good news. If you hire 10 homeless and give all of them this job then you might qualify for "investor green card"!!

I understand your situation as i was there once. If you dont have insurance than your options are very limited. if you live in dallas county parkland hospital is your only choice. Parkland has a network of several clinics around DFW area. Every clinic has financial assistance department. You can visit any of those and they will setup a payment plan which is reasonable based on your income. You will visit them for all prenatal care and when the time comes for delivery it will be taken to parkland. and parkland is a very good hospital as well. beside parkland several hospitals also offer cash plans like RHD memorial at 635 but they will charge you close to 4k just for delivery day and if its a normal one. you will have to do prenatal at your own.

You can read it 10 ways, but the CIS has only one interpretation(see bold below).
An un-adjudicated Form I-140 petition is not made valid merely through the act of filing the petition with USCIS or through the passage of 180 days. Rather, the petition must have been filed on behalf of an alien who was entitled to the employment-based classification at the time that the petition was filed, and therefore must be approved prior to a favorable determination of a 106(c) AC21 portability request.
I guess it is the same thing as earlier memo. They are saying that merely 180 days have passed since filing does not provide AC21 benefit. To determine AC21 benefit the petiton must be approved. So based on earlier memo, USCIS would see whther petiton can be approved. If yes then they will evaluate AC21. If not, then you got a problem.

Howz one to live a moral and compassionate existence when one is fully aware of the blood, the horror inherent in life, when one finds darkness not only in onez culture but within oneself? If there is a stage at which an individual life becomes truly adult, it must be when one grasps the irony in its unfolding and accepts responsibility for a life lived in the midst of such paradox. One must live in the middle of contradiction, because if all contradiction were eliminated at once life would collapse. There r simply no answers to some of the great pressing questions. You continue to live them out, making your life a worthy expression of leaning into the light.
One of the contradictions is NOT obtaining a Green Card.

Since the CP guys are in minority here , if IV has to invest for them (read we all have to pay for them ) let us see how much they can contribute for their own provision. Let us see if each one of them contribute more than 500 dollars to IV and posts the paypal number.
Why should majority allow a provison for some minority who do not even want to first contribute.
Guys let's all take a break on this discussion before it offends more people. IV is a place for everyone. As far as I am concerned we are all equal and all in this together. Please everyone contribute your letters, time, and financial support and give each other some respect. It is impossible and wrong to generalize and doesn't do the IV cause any good. Thank you.

Posting this since almost every thread has the question about the cut-off date after which all LCs or I-140s will be invalidated.
http://www.ilw.com/articles/2007,0530-endelman.shtm
Excerpt from "http://www.ilw.com/articles/2007,0530-endelman.shtm" posted earlier, the cutoff date is May 15, 2007; NOT May 21 2007. (Thanks to "cnag" for finding this link).
... ...
Wait, there is more! The end of employer-sponsored immigration and the inauguration of the points system do not take place at the same time. No kidding, there are two different dates when the old is no good and the new becomes available. If you can contain your excitement and read the finer points of Section 502(d)(1) of S. 1348, you will discover that the point system does not take effect until the first day of the fiscal year following enactment, unless (and there always is one) this is less than 270 days. What then? Not to fear. In that case, the point system does not "go live" until the first day of the FOLLOWING fiscal year. Keep reading! The point system in clause (1) is made expressly subject to clause (2) which has few surprises in store. It is not for the uninitiated or the faint of heart. These tender souls should protect their blood pressure and keep on reading. Pursuant to Section 502(d)(2), only those employment-based immigrant petitions on Form I-140 filed before the introduction of S. 1348 on May 15th will remain valid and serve as the basis for an immigrant visa after enactment. So what, you say? Well, suppose that President Bush signs the bill on September 10th 2007. That is the date of enactment. Now, the points system waits until October 1, 2008, the first day of the second fiscal year following enactment. From September 10, 2007 until October 1, 2008, over one year, we will have no employment-based green cards! You heard me right friend, no employer sponsorship based on anything after May 15th 2007 and no points system. This is Pat Buchanan's dream come true- an entire fiscal year without any green cards being issued on the basis of employment!
... ...
Thanks,

how do I avoid that scenario?
If I send some information to USCIS that I am invoking AC 21, they would not allow my employer to revoke I 140?
as far as i know, you cannot avoid that scenario of the employer withdrawing I-140. You can speak to them, but there is no way you can guarantee what they do. Your boss may agree but ur corp lawyers or HR may have different ideas.
just make sure u document everything including ur ac21 request to uscis. mayke sure u have an attorney on record who will file ur ac21...if u want to be supersafe.
as long as u have the documentation and correct letters from your company, even if they have a rfe on ur case, u can provide documentation...if they issue a noid or deny ur petition, ur lawyer can help u file a mtr (motion to reopen/reconsider) and resolve it for u.
i am not speaking from personal experience but from what i have been reading on the forums for a few years now.
on the plus side u will have hundred if not thousands of ppl invoking ac21 in the next few days...so uscis will be well aware of the law, clauses, etc when it comes time to adjudicate urs.

usage of spill over must be based on demand estimates and cannot be an exact science.
removal of ROW spill-over must be in anticipation of the dam burst expected when the BECS finally cross pass the april 30 PDs ( ROW being a big majority of these applications).
We need to look at what the BECs are doing and where they are wrt apr 2001 apps. I believe they are almost past it or in the thick of it. there would be a 3-4 month lag since a lot of these guys are going through recruitment.
That will tell us whether we are seeing the worst or if it can get worse.

Guys:
I am not sure if the PM and email from IV is working. I sent out 4-5 PM and emails to various members from MI and I have not got a single reply. Also I still have not got an email from Sanjay or Varsha. Also breddy2000's email also was not received.......I am not sure if something is down.
Please advise what is needed, otherwise I have a very crazy schedule next week and I will not be able to do anything.
Please email me at samuels@michigan.gov
Thanks

u know what, gcseeker2002 is correct to the dot. we do not need a transit visa while coming thru germany in lufthansa. no one even mentions that word. i called and emailed the german consulate b4 i flew out of US, all people including german consulate, travel agent (2 of them),, mentioned that i require it and still i travelled back without it. no one mentioned that word. trust me guys, u wont require it, i just came 10 days ago just with AP.
NOTE : I also recd such emails from German consulate.
Hey gcseeker2002, after 300+ postings also how can you post such a thing.
This is new rule implemented and by thinking you as senior if someone goes and faces problem will you be responsible. So please don't do this boss.
To All Who believe no need to have valid VISA while going back to India or their country.
This is email got from German Consulate at Washington DC to my collegue.
German Cosulate Rep at DC: You wrote that your visa for the United States already expired in September 2010. Therefore you do not fall under Exception Nr. 2. This exception is meant for persons travelling to the US holding a valid US-visa (e.g. a visitors visa with one entry) on their way travelling to the US (Exception 1) and travelling back to their home country during the validity dates of this same visa, but already having used it for entering the US (Exception2) . I hope this clarifies your additional question. I suggest that you apply for an Airport Transit Visa as soon as possible to avoid any problems when travelling back to India via Frankfurt airport.

In the visa bullitin, it says current for Targeted Employ-ment Areas/
Regio.nal Centers . What is that mean?. Is it only for the investor who does business in Targeted areas? or employees who works in the under served areas

I am not tracking approvals rate as such. But if, CIS hasn't used as many numbers have DOS reported, then as Ron suggested, dates will move forward for EB3 Ind.
Forward movement sounds good..but even with PD current(May,June VB's) folks are just sitting and waiting..just like me..:(
